Rebecca Creek Whiskey, Texas Ranger Whiskey and Enchanted Rock Vodka on the bar at The Menger Hotel in San Antonio, TX

College football season has finally started. Who are you rooting for this season? At Rebecca Creek Distillery, we’re not playing favorites, not even with our spirits. Each one has its own unique taste and any one would make a great addition to a party. If you’re hosting a football watching party or a tailgate this season, ditch the beer. Mix it up with one of these cocktail recipes featuring Rebecca Creek Whiskey or Enchanted Rock Vodka.

1) Rebecca’s Bet

By the name, this whiskey cocktail could be used as your good luck charm. Now, we can’t bet on its luck, but we’ll bet on the taste. It’s got the best of both worlds: sweetness from grenadine and tartness from citrus, coupled with fine Texas whiskey to make the perfect game day cocktail.

You will need:

2.0 oz. Rebecca Creek Whiskey
0.50 oz. Grenadine
0.50 oz. Lemon juice
0.50 oz. Grapefruit juice
3 dashes of orange bitters

Combine ingredients in a shaker with ice and shake until mixed. Strain into a rocks glass and enjoy.

2) Watermelon Vodka Keg

You might have seen one of these this summer, now it’s the time for you to make one. This is a sure way to get the party started and make it memorable. According to Detroit Free Press, you can grab your watermelon keg kit at Bed, Bath and Beyond for under $15. Don’t forget to grab a bottle of Enchanted Rock Vodka and rosé wine when you pick up your party supplies.

3) Fresh Ginger Moscow Mule Pop

Sometimes, it’s STILL too hot. Why not make a cooling ice pop? Bonus: it’s boozy. If you’re a fan of the Moscow Mule, this recipe is perfect for you. This recipe is more involved because you need to make ginger syrup, but it’s worth it. Make these a day ahead so you have them ready by game time.

Okay, so we’re not trying to oust the beer drinkers out there. If you’ve had beer at your parties and tailgates, it’s time to try something new. These drinks will make an impression and maybe they’ll become a drink staple! Still wanting more? Check out even more refreshing cocktail recipes in other posts on our blog. Remember to always enjoy responsibly.
